    Some Lamps Art Show

    Reception: July 25 | 5-8 PM
    On view: July 9 - 31

Some Lamps is a collaborative project by Josie Parry and Ned Bardsley, curated by Hilary Honadel for the Gather space at Cactus Blossom Collective. This series of sculptural lamps plays with the balance of function & fantasy. They are not just objects, but friends, there for you to light up your everyday life.

Both artists explore the state of play through their chosen materials. Josie, a multimedia artist & metalsmith, draws inspiration from nature and childhood imagination. Ned, a ceramicist & educator, brings structure and form to clay. Found materials are essential to their work - local clays & abandoned lampshades mix playfully with colorful beads & glazes in an unexpected harmony.

As artist wrangler, Hilary creates collabs that elevate the artists through shared processes + playful experimentation.

Music by local fav, Ted, and friendly faces from one of our favorite non-profits, FORWARD MONTANA.

  • Soft Summer Gathering with Yetta Rose Stein: “Poems for the Soft Hours”

Slow Summer Gathering with Yetta Rose Stein: “Poems for the Soft Hours”
Sunday, August 24th · 4 PM · In the park

Join poet and editor Yetta Rose Stein for a quiet, nourishing afternoon of poetry in the park. “Poems for the Soft Hours” is an invitation to slow down and savor language, silence, and the natural world. Together, we’ll open with a gentle meditation to drop into the time and space together. We'll spend time writing, reflecting, journaling, and then sharing and reading poems to one another, with an option to read poems aloud written by beloved poets or even our own writing.

Bring a poem that’s speaking to you right now, or simply come ready to listen and respond. This isn’t a performance or a class, it’s a gathering. Open and informal.

A space to…

  • work in a shared, creative, communal work space
